Sound breaker aluminium panels

Aacoustics BV supplies the sound-breaker for applications alongside railways, motorways and local trunk roads. The advantages of aluminium panels stem from the material used. Aluminium does not rust and is a very lightweight material. The sound-breaker has been tried and tested along railway lines in several different locations in the Netherlands such as on stretches at Leiden, Hoofddorp, Utrecht, Goes, Arnhem, Haarlem and Tilburg to name but a few. An up-to-date list of references is available on request.

The sound-breaker also offers an excellent solution to businesses suffering from noise pollution and nuisance. In principle the noise-breaker can be supplied in every standard RAL colour.

The aluminium is provided with a high-quality polyester powder coating as standard in accordance with a carefully monitored procedure. The combination of these materials guarantees the sound-breaker has a very long life shelf life. On the sound-breaker used along the railway line in Utrecht modern silver metallic colours were applied at the request of the architect.

Aacoustics' sound-breaker cassette is made up of a heavily compressed noise insulating rock wool, which is water-repellent, incombustible and resistant to various climatic effects. This rock wool is equipped with a sort of ‘fleece'. By applying these materials the sound-breaker is environmentally friendly and entirely recyclable. The mineral wool applied combined with the acoustically closed frame produces a high level of absorption and insulation. There are four P-rubber profiles on the outside of the frame that ensure the right sealing effect between the cassette and the vertical posts without the need for extra supplementary measures.

The sound-breaker may be constructed in the following way:

-       absorbent on two sides (both sides are perforated)
-       absorbent on one side only (one side is perforated)
-       double-sided reflective (both sides closed)
-       equipped with a high quality anti-graffiti PU coating applied in the factory
-       equipped with a wood-grain coating.
